Though a redesign has been done a few weeks now - it took some extra time with the kids away to get everything all set up. I've switched to using Django for this version and overall I'm pretty happy with the results and implementation. There were a lot of resources on the internet, as well as some really good books that got me started. Working in ASP.NET the past 3 years has really gotten me excited about working in the open source realm again - that's for sure!

We just got back from our short trip to Las Vegas. I was quite surprised to find the airport so empty - which was somewhat indicative of how the rest of the city would be. Lost the kids baby bag on one of the benches by the carousel. Went through a lot of hoops trying to recover it with no results. Oh well! The rest of the trip went fairly smooth.
